This Privacy Policy sets out how we collect and manage personal information and the steps we take to protect it. Your use of the ZPD website indicates that you accept this Privacy Policy and approve the collection, use and disclosure by ZPD of your personal information according to the terms below.
If you choose to access ZPD coaching and counselling services you will also be asked to read and agree to the ZPD Privacy Policy and sign a Consent to Exchange and Release Information Form. Your ZPD coach or counsellor will explain our policy in detail in your initial session counselling and provide opportunity for you to ask any questions and make an informed decision about whether to add any members of your care team to your Consent to Exchange and Release Information Form, such as your General Practitioner and a family member or other nominated emergency contact.
How and why we collect personal information
You provide most of your personal information directly to us and for a specific purpose. When we collect personal information, we will whenever practical, outline why this information is being collected. We will only record your personal information when you:

ZPD will use personal information that you give us to answer your enquiries or to provide you with the information or service that you have requested. We may also use your information to contact you if you request counselling, coaching, consulting, or other services.
Protection of personal information
ZPD will take all reasonable steps to securely store your personal information from loss, misuse, alteration or unauthorised access. Your personal information is only kept while it is required for the purpose for which it was collected or for a directly related secondary purpose in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act).
ZPD follow the record keeping guidelines for counselling records and case notes for the periods stipulated in the PACFA Guidelines for Client Records.
Data Quality
ZPD will take all reasonable steps to ensure the information we collect is accurate, complete, up-to-date, and relevant to the functions we perform.
Disclosure of the information we collect
ZPD will not disclose your personal information to any third parties without your consent, unless required to do so by law or ethical obligations which include:

ZPD will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we collect is accurate. If you wish to have access to your personal information, please contact us and we will respond promptly to your request. You can also request in writing for information about you to be corrected or deleted. We reserve our right to refuse your request for access or correction if, for example, we consider your request to be frivolous or vexatious, or if we are otherwise legally and/or ethically obligated to refuse the request. We respect your right to correct your personal information.

Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. This does not relate to photos uploaded in the secure booking form. As of March 2022, there is no place on the ZPD website where you would otherwise upload an image.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

We may from time to time change our Privacy Policy with respect to new procedures or changes in applicable laws. We will keep you updated on these changes by posting the current policy on our website when it is implemented.
